About Eavescroft

Eavescroft is an independent publication about maintaining, cleaning and protecting the exterior of a home. We write for homeowners in the United States who want to understand what's happening at their roofline, on their siding, and around their foundation — before they call anyone, and often so they can decide whether they need to.

What we cover

We focus on the parts of the house that take the weather: gutters and downspouts, the roof edge (fascia, soffits and drip edge), exterior cleaning, seasonal maintenance, common materials, and the warning signs that tell you something needs attention. Each topic connects to the others, because the exterior of a house works as a system.

What we are — and aren't

We are a reader-first editorial resource. We are not a contractor, a cleaning company, a retailer, or a lead-generation service. We don't offer estimates, take bookings, or sell products, and you won't find "request a quote" buttons here.
